The Cufflinks Collector
Private Selection
The Private section of The Cufflinks Collector comes from a very precise choice: to present pieces from my collection that I consider important not only for their economic value, but above all for what they represent from a collector’s point of view. These are cufflinks I chose and kept because they have something special: a rare detail, an unusual idea, a distinctive character, or simply a quality that made me recognize them immediately as uncommon pieces. Through them, I also want to express my love for this object, for its style, and for the history it can embody.
I did not want to create a showcase based only on price or effect. What matters to me is showing pieces that truly have something to say through their originality, rarity, and specific character. Some of them are worth a great deal, others perhaps less in purely economic terms, but all of them have real meaning within the path of my collection. I love cufflinks because I enjoy wearing them, but also because I enjoy owning them, giving them as gifts, looking at them, and comparing them. They are small objects, but they can contain taste, personality, memory, and a surprising amount of history.
They are part of my personal collection, and in many cases they have marked important moments in my journey as a collector. Some surprised me, some raised questions, and others pushed me to go deeper into the world of cufflinks than I had imagined at the beginning. For this reason, I see this section not simply as a display space, but as a living part of my research: a way of sharing the pieces that helped shape my collection, and at the same time a way of telling why I love to study them, understand them, and continue discovering them.
